INTER COLLEGIATE IT-MEET & SEMINAR ON RECENT TRENDS IN IT INDUSTRIES (IBLAZE 2018)

The PG & Research Department of Computer Science and Applications organized an Inter – Collegiate IT Meet / Seminar titled iBlaze’18 on 23rd August 2018. Dr. D. Gajapathy, Director and Dr. M. Jayasri Rani, Principal inaugurated and presided over the function. Prof. P.Daniel Sundarraj, Head, Department of Computer Science and Applications welcomed the gathering. Mr. G.Venkatesh, Head, Digital Learning Department, ICT Academy of Tamil Nadu, Chennai was invited as the resource person and he delivered a lecture on “RECENT TRENDS IN IT INDUSTRIES”. As many as 223 students from 21 colleges participated in this mega event. During this IT Meet, the following events were conducted.
1. Paper Presentation Event.
2. Quiz Event.
3. Debugging Event.
4. Web Designing Event.
5. Advertir Event.
6. Poster Presentation Event.
At the end of the program, the Director and the Principal distributed prizes to the winners of various events. Ms. N. Sharmila, II M.Sc.,(IT) proposed a vote of thanks.

WorkShop:

An one day workshop on “Software Evolution and Drone Technology” was organized by the Department of Computer Applications on 21.12.18 to enhance the knowledge of the students about the recent trends in the “Drone Technology”.

Dr. D. Gajapathy, Director and  Dr. M. Jayasri Rani, Principal  of K.M.G. College of Arts and Science , Gudiyattam  inaugurated and presided over the function. Prof. P. Anjugam, Head, Department of Computer Application welcomed the gathering.   Mr. Ganesh Ramamoorthy,

Senior Technical Leader, Sigma Connectivity, San Jose, California, USA and Mr.  Suresh Narayanan, Director and Drone Pilot, Skywalk Drobotics (P) Ltd., Coimbatore were the resource persons.  They delivered the lecture on “Software Evolution and Drone Technology” and demonstrated the functioning of “Drones” .  As many as 200 students were participated.

At the end of the program  Prof. V.S. Vinitha Janani, Assistant Professor of Computer Applications  proposed a vote of thanks.

Inauguration of Students Association 
The Department of Computer Applications inaugurated Students Association on 29.08.19. Dr. K. Arulanandam, Head, Department of Computer Application, Govt.Thirumagal Mills College, Gudiyattam. Prof. P.Anjugam Head, Department of Computer Applications inaugurated the Students Association by lighting the Kuthuvilakku and elected the following office bearers :

Dr.D.Gajapathy, Director and Dr. M. Valarmathi, Principal inaugurated and presided over the function. Prof. P.Daniel Sundarraj, Head, Department of Computer Science welcomed the gathering. Prof.P.Anjugam, Head, Department of Computer Applications introduced the Chief Guest. Dr.N.Senthilkumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Applications School of Information Technology and Engineering, VIT, Vellore, Tamil Nadu, was the resource person and delivered a lecture on “BIG DATA ANALYTICS AND ITS POTENTIAL APPLICATIONS”. Around 150 students from various colleges participated in this mega event. The following events were conducted.

The PG & Research Department of Computer Science and Department of Computer Applications organized a webinar  titled “ MACHINE LEARNING AND DATA SCIENCE” on 23^rd July 2020. Prof. P.Daniel Sundarraj, Head, Department of Computer Science welcomed the gathering. Prof. P.Anjugam, Head, Department of Computer Applications inaugurated and Dr. M.Valarmathi, Principal, presided over the function. Mr. T.Raman, Good UX, Bangalore and Dr.George Louis Raja, Head & Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Applications, Sacred Heart College, Tirupattur was invited as the resource person and they delivered a lecture on “ MACHINE LEARNING AND DATA SCIENCE”. As many as 200 students participated in this event.
