PG and Research Department of Biochemistry conducted Quiz Competition on 24.07.2023.
Our college Principal Prof. Dr. M. SENTHILRAJ M.Com., MBA., MSW., M.Sc (Psy.), M.Ed., M.Phil (Com.), M.Phil (Edu.), Ph.D (Com.), D.Litt., LLB., SET (Com.), SET (Mgt.), inaugurated the Quiz Competition. Prof. S. Karthigaidevi M.Sc., M.Phil., B.Ed., Prof. Dr. C.Venkatesan M.Sc., M.Phil., Ph.D., PDF., Prof. Dr. C.Asokan M.Sc., M.Phil., Ph.D., PDF., acted as Judges. The winners received prizes on 26.07.2023 by The Principal on behalf of KMG Founders Day Celebration.
Event 2:
Title: Millets and its Importance

PG and Research Department of Biochemistry conducted one day program on “Millets and its importance” on 04.08.2023. Millets, being gluten free and low glycemic index food are good for diabetic persons and can help to combat cardiovascular diseases and nutritional deficiency.
Our college Principal Prof. Dr. M. SENTHILRAJ M.Com., MBA., MSW., M.Sc (Psy.), M.Ed., M.Phil (Com.), M.Phil (Edu.), Ph.D (Com.), D.Litt., LLB., SET (Com.), SET (Mgt.), addressed the gathering by giving a lecture on the topic “Millets and its nutritional importance for healthy life”. Students participated with full enthusiasm which proved that younger generations are aware of our traditional healthy foods and recipes and not a mere junk food lovers.
Prof. Dr. R.Manikandan M.Sc., B.Ed., MBA., M.Phil., Ph.D., Prof. R. Ramesh, M.A., M.Phil., Prof. C. Kavitha, M.Sc., M.Phil., B.Ed., NET., were judged the students recipes and Students were given special gifts from the principal and bagged lot of appreciation from all the teaching and non-teaching faculties.

Title: PROMINENT ALUMNI TALK

PG and Research department of Biochemistry Organized a Prominent Alumni talk by Our Alumni Dr. K. Senthilkumar, M.Sc., M.Phil., Ph.D., Assistant Professor, Centre for Trans Disciplinary Research, Department of Pharmacology, Saveetha Dental College and Hospitals, Chennai on the topic “Effects of endocrine disruptors in bone remodeling and bone formation” on 10.08.2023 in KMG Seminar Hall. Prof Dr. M. Senthilraj, Principal, K.M.G College of Arts and Science Gudiyattam, inaugurated and presided over the function. Dr. J. Thirumagal, Head, Department of Biochemistry welcomed the gathering and our Alumni was Honored by the Management.

The PG and Research department of Biochemistry Organized “National Conference on Current Scenario in Traditional Medicine-(CSTM-K23)” on 31.08.2022 in KMG Seminar Hall. Prof. Dr. M. Senthilraj, Principal, K.M.G College of Arts and Science Gudiyattam, inaugurated and presided over the function. Dr. J. Thirumagal, Head, Department of Biochemistry welcomed the gathering. Prof, S. Karthigaidevi and Prof. G. Raghuvarman introduced the chief Guests.
Recourse Persons were honored by the Management. Dr. Manikavasagam, Research Officer, Siddha, Siddha Clinical Research Unit, Central Council for Research in Siddha, Ministry of AYUSH, Govt of India, Bangalore, Karnataka. and Dr. N. Sudhakar, Scientist C, Department of Virology and Biotechnology, ICMR-NIRT, Chetpet, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, delivered Special Lectures on Recent Trends in Research Outcome in Siddha system and In-Vitro assays and Techniques used in anticancer discovery.

Professor of Biochemistry Department are visited instrument labs, research centers and the discussed with Scientists in CLRI.

Dr.N.Sundramoorthy, Assistant Professor and Prof. C.Kavitha, Department of Microbiology were the judges for the event. The Best models were awarded by our Principal and HOD.

The Resource person, Dr.M.Senthil Raj, Principal, K.M.G College of arts and Science Gudiyatham, Tamil Nadu inaugurates the science exhibition. 200 no of students from science streams and 20 faculty members participated on 28.02.2024 at K.M.G Auditorium, K.M.G College of arts and Science, Gudiyattam, Vellore District.
