Event 1: WORLD YOGA DAY CELEBRATION
NSS has organized Yoga program to our students on 21.06.2019 to celebrate World Yoga Day. The Chief Guest R.Mohan,District Yoga Secretary,Vellore has conducted this programme.
Event 2: VOTERS AWARENESS CAMP
NSS has organized a Voters Awareness Camp on 09th July to create an awareness of the importance of Voting. The program was conducted by Vellore Electoral Department.
Event 3: FOUNDER’S 100th BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION – BLOOD DONATION CAMP
A blood donation camp on 25.07.19, on behalf of 100th birthday celebration of founder Thiru K.M Govindarajan. Chairman Thiru K.M. Balasubramaniam, Secretary Thiru K.M. Rajendiran, Treasurer Thiru K.M. Muthukumar, Principal Dr. M. Valarmathi attended the camp. Around 100 students and staff members of KMG College of Arts and Science donated blood and 135 units of blood was given to the Government hospital, Gudiyattam and CMC Hospital, Vellore.
Two more blood donation camps were conducted on different dates viz 07.11.2019 and 03.03.2020 and the collected blood were donated to the Govt. Hospital, Gudiyattam, Narayani Hospital and CMC Hospital, Vellore.
Event 4: BREAST CANCER AWARENESS PROGRAM
An awareness program on ‘Breast Cancer and its effects’ was held on 18.08.2019 at K.M.G.Seminar Hall. Chief Guest Ms. N.Sathiya, Govt Hospital, Gudiyattam.
Event 5: HAND IN HAND INDIA & CHILD LINE
NSS has organized a Hand in Hand India and Child Line 1098 programme on 08.09.2019, to create an awareness for the importance of education to the society and the help line to Children Safety.
Event 6: DENGU AWARENESS RALLY & DISTRIBUITION OF NILAVEMBU KUDINEER
On 22.10.19, NSS Conducted a mass rally to create awareness about ‘Dengue fever’ in & around Ammanankupam Village. We provided Nilavemu Kudineer to all the students of our college and people of Ammanankuppam village. The Chief Guest was Dr.Karthikeyan and Health Department Officers were also attended the programme.
Event 7: WORLD POPULATION DAY PLEDGE
Sardar Vallabbhai Patel birthday (31st October) was celebrated as “National Unity day”. All the students took pledge for National Unity.
Event 8: SAMATHUVA PONGAL VIZHA
NSS has organized ‘Samathuva Pongal Vizha’ on 13.01.2020. Chairman Thiru K.M. Balasubramaniam, Secretary Thiru K.M. Rajendiran, Treasurer Thiru K.M. Muthukumar, Principal Dr. M.Valarmathi,staff members and students were participated in this function. Traditional Events were conducted by our Students.
Event 9: KAVALAN APP AWARENESS PROGRAMME
NSS has Organized an awareness programme on ‘Installing and using Kavalan App’ on 07.02.2020 to the girl students. Around 600 girl students participated in this program. The chief guest Ms. A. Anbarasi, Inspector of Police, Child and Women, Crime Branch, has conducted this programme.
Event 10: NSS Special Camp at Ammanankuppam
- Seven days NSS special camp was conducted from 27.02.2020 to 04.03.2020 at Ammanankuppam & Vanniyarpatti village. 100 students both boys and girls participated in the camp.
- The activities of the special camp includes field work along with various activities like medical & blood donation camps, Tree plantation and beneficial special lectures for the revival of the society
Event 11: COVID – 19 Awareness
NSS Co-ordinator Dr. J. Thirumagal presented a seminar on ‘COVID-19 Awareness’ to our NSS Students on 19th March 2020.
