Our Commerce Department organized National Level Seminar on 08th August, 2017 on the topic “Demonetization and its Impacts on Indian Economy” held at K.M.G.Auditorium. Dr.S.Mythili, Principal, Sri Akilandeswari College for Women, Vandavasi, was the chief guest and delivered a special lecture and paper presentation was held in the afternoon session. Around 250 students were participated from ten colleges and present their research papers in this conference. Finally, our director Dr.D.Gajapathy, distributed the prize for best three research papers on that day.
Industrial Visit
Our department organized an industrial visit at Doddabetta Tea Factory in Nelgri District, Tamil Nadu. On 04.02.2018, 52 students along with 8 Staff members were visited and benefited through this program.
Special Lecture on Union Budget for 2017 – 2018
On 16.02.2018 our department conducted a Special Lecture on the theme of “Union Budget for the Financial Year 2018-2019″. Mr. CA.K.Mohanraj Bharathi SCA, Secretary, Institute of Chartered Accountant, Vellore Branch as resource person for the first session. The “CA Awareness Programme” was also conducted, Mr.N.RAGURAM SCA, Chairman, Institute of Chartered Accountant, Vellore Branch and Mr.C.A.S.Mohan SCA, Director, Palar Hospital, Gudiyattam, as resource persons for the second session held at K.M.G Seminar Hall, who provided a detailed highlight on their themes to around 250 students on that occasion.
