Intercollegiate Lecture Programme:

Intercollegiate Lecture Program was conducted for PG students on behalf of RUSAC by our department on 8th September 2012. Subject experts from various colleges gave their valuable lectures to the students. 130 students and 10 staff members from various colleges were participated in the program.

Out-Campus Achievements:

Our department staff members were attended the One day Workshop for faculty members on “Micro Scale Experiments in chemistry” on 15th september 2012, were organized by the PG & Research Dept. of chemistry, Auxilium College, Vellore.

U.G. final year Students of our department were participated and presented a paper in the Intercollegiate paper presentation, organized by the P.G. & Research Dept. of Chemistry, D.K.M. college for Women, Vellore, on Sept 22nd-2012 and won second prize in the paper presentation.
Students of III B.Sc. chemistry of our department were participated in the Intercollegiate Quiz Competition conducted by the P.G. & Research Dept. of Chemistry, Voorhees College, Vellore on February 23rd-2013 and won the third prize in the Quiz competition.

State Level Seminars

Students of M.Sc., Chemistry were attended the State Level Seminar on EMERGING TRENDS IN CHEMISTRY”, organized by the Dept. of Chemistry, Don Bosco College, Dharmapuri, on October 8th-2012.

Department Activities:

Our department were conducted various activities like paper presentation, Quiz competition, Debate, class seminars to motivate and to improve the talents of our students.

National Service Scheme:

UG Students of our Department were attended one week NSS Camp from Jan 17 to 24th 2013 at Sethuvandai organized by NSS Coordinator of our college.

National Cadet Corps:

UG Students of our department were undergone NCC training for the last 6months in our college campus.

Youth Red Cross Activities:

I B.Sc. chemistry students had attended the awareness program on February 2013 at our college campus
organized by YRC.

Sports Activities:

Many students of our department were participated and won many prizes in all the sports events conducted in our college campus.

Many students of our department were participated in many intercollegiate sports and won many prizes in all the sports events conducted by various institutions.

Fine Arts Activities:

• I PG student had won Third prize in drawing competition
• I UG student had won Third prize in painting competition,
• I PG student had won Second prize in Hair dressing,
• I PG had won Third prize in flower arrangement,
• PG final year students had won Third prize in cooking competition,
• PG students had won Second prize in Rangoli.

Many students of our department were participated in many competitions conducted by fine arts team of our college.

100% Attendance Secured by Students:

Many of our department students of both UG and PG secured 100% attendance for this academic year.

Best Outgoing Students

N. Pavithra of UG final year and B. INIMOZHI of PG final year chemistry were selected as a BEST OUTGOING STUDENTS of our department for the academic year 2012-2013.
