ANNUAL REPORT 2016-2017
- We are very happy and proud to place on record that SARANYA and M.DEEPIKA of M.Sc Biochemistry have secured University I & IX Rank respectively. S. DURGA and S.KOMALA of B.Sc Biochemistry Secured V and X Rank respectively for the academic year 2015-2016.
- B.Sc Biochemistry students have produced Centum result in Human physiology and Nutrional Biochemistry and overall percentage for the academic year 2015 – 2016 is 78%
- PG students also produced centum result in Molecular Biology, Advanced Enzymology, Intermediary Metabolism and Advanced Clinical Biochemistry and overall percentage for the academic year 2015 – 2016 is 88%

- On 11th July 2016, Our College YRC & Biochemistry Association jointly conducted blood group identification camp for all the I year students of our College.
- On 20th August 2016,The PG and Research Department of Biochemistry organized a State level seminar on “Challenging Trends in Bioscience -2016” (CTBS-2016). The resource person R. SUDHAKARAN, M.Sc., Ph.D., Senior Lecturer, School of Bioscience and Technology, VIT, Vellore, delivered a lecture on “UNMASKED PCR FOR BIOLOGISTS” Students from more than 10 Colleges of various branches of life sciences such as Microbiology, Biochemistry, Zoology & Biotechnology have presented their posters & Won prizes.
- On 15th September 2016,our department celebrated fresher’s day for I UG and I PG students they were greeted by II and III UG and II PG students.
- On 10th August 2016, Our III Bsc and I Msc students participated in State Level Seminar conducted by Auxillium College, Vellore. And Our I Msc student Prabavathy won the I prize in the event “ Wealth out of Waste.”
- On 14th September 2016, Our III Bsc and I Msc students participated in State Level Seminar at Shanmuga College and Industries of Arts and Science, Thiruvannamalai.
- On 23rd September 2016, Our III Bsc and I Msc Biochemistry students participated in poster presentation at State Level Seminar conducted by Sacred Heart College, Thirupathur.
- On 31st January 2017, Our III Bsc Biochemistry and I Msc Biochemistry students participated in Poster presentation at State Level Seminar conducted by Adhiparashakthi college of Arts and Science, Kalavai.
- On 31st January 2017, in Fine Arts Events programme,
- Our staff Prof. V.Renu won II Prize in Solo Singing.
- I Msc students V.Prabhavathy won II Prize in Making Craft.
- E.Vishnu Priya won I Prize in Solo Singing.
- J.Bhavani and M.Ramya of I Bsc Biochemistry won II prize in Flower Arrangement.
