Academic Activities 2018-19

Department activities: The PG and Research Department of Biochemistry organized a PCR workshop cum association meeting on 13^th August 2018, Dr.R.Sudhakaran Ph.D., Assistant Professor (Senior), Department of Integrative Biology, School of Bio-Sciences and Technology, VIT University, Vellore-632014, was the chief guest and he delivered a special lecture and demonstration of PCR Technique. Students and staff members from Biochemistry and Microbiology were participated in the workshop.

STATE LEVEL SEMINAR
ON
“Pharma Aspects and Quality Assessment”

The PG & Research Department of Biochemistry organized a State Level Seminar in the topic “Pharma Aspects and Quality Assessment” on 24th August 2018. Dr. D. Gajapathy, Director and Dr. M. Jayasri Rani, Principal of K.M.G. College of Arts & Science, Gudiyattam, inaugurated and presided over the function. Dr. R.Maheswari, Head, Department of Biochemistry welcomed the gathering. Mr. N. Babu, Manager, Oncology Molecule Laboratory, Biocon, Bangalore, was the resource person and he delivered a lecture on “Pharma Aspects and Quality Assessment”. As many as 138 students and 12 faculty members from 8 colleges participated in this state level seminar.

Poster presentation was conducted. 26 posters from 5 colleges were presented. Prof. A. Tamizhselvi, Asst. Prof. of Biochemistry, Indoamerican College, Cheyyar and Prof. Senthil Kumar, Asst. Prof. of Biochemistry, KMG College of Arts and Science, Gudiyattam, judged the Poster presentation.
Valedictory Address was given by Dr.A.Mohammed Sadiq, M.Sc., M.Phil., Ph.D., Principal, Adhiparasakthi College of Arts and Science, Syndicate member, Thiruvalluvar University, Vellore.

At the end of the program, Director and Principal distributed the prizes to the winners of Poster presentation. Prof. S.Karthigaidevi, Assistant Professor of Biochemistry proposed a vote of thanks.
