The Department of English was established in the year: 2009-2010

The Department of English was established in the year 2009-2010 with UG Course and it was elevated as PG Department in the year 2013-14. Our major concern is to foster the growth of a student community well versed in English language and literature.

Candidates seeking admission to the first year of B.A. English Degree Course should have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (Academic or Vocational), conducted by the Government of Tamil Nadu with English as a subject or an Examination accepted as equivalent thereto by the Governing Body of KMG College of Arts and Science (Autonomous), Gudiyatham subject to such other conditions as may be prescribed.

M.A., English Course was established in the year 2013. The students intake to this course is forty.

Eligibility

A candidate who has passed B.A. Degree Examination of any UGC recognized University with English as the Main Subject of study or any three years Under Graduate Degree with English in their four semester where the candidate has scored a minimum of 55% or an Examination of other Universities accepted by the Governing Body of KMG College of Arts and Science (Autonomous), Gudiyatham as equivalent thereto shall be permitted to appear and qualify for M.A. Degree Examination of this Colleges.
