Activities of PG & Department of English
A Special meeting was organized by the English Literary Association on 11.09.15.Dr. P.A.Cecilia Vernum, Head, PG & Research Department of English, Auxilium College for Women (Autonomous) Vellore was the guest of Honour. She addressed the students with a view of using English Language is our day to day life. She spoke elaborately on LITERATURE AND VISUAL CULTURE. All of them were benefitted by her excellent speech.
Inter college events
On 23.09.15 Our students participated and exposed their talents in poetry Recitation and skit in Voorhees College, Vellore.
On 01.10.15 Our students participated in Inter College events organized by Islamiah Women’s Arts And Science college, Vaniyambadi & won prizes in various events like Speech, Ad- zap, Mime, Paragraph writing, Calligraphy, Identifying the Eminent writers, Skit and Jam. Our students won the overall championship.
On 08.10.15 Our students participated in National level seminar in Islamiah Women’s College, Vaniyambadi 32 of our students attended the program and three of our staff members participated in the programme on that day.
Our students participation in sports and games:
- P. Sangeetha of III B.A., English won the third place in 1500mts., in district level open tournament held at Nethaji Stadium, Vellore.
- P. Sangeetha of III B.A., English won the third place in Shotput in districit .
- V. Arun of II M.A., English participated in inter-divisional Table Tennis tournament at Islamiah College, Vaniyambadi. Inter-divisional Ball Badminton tournament divisional held at Abdul Hakheem College, Melvisharam.
- S. Vignesh of I B.A., English won Silver Medal in inter-division Boxing tournament held at Voorhees College, Vellore.
- K. Priya of III B.A., English and P. Sangeetha of III B.A., English won the Gold Medal in inter-divisional Boxing tournament held at Voorhees, Vellore.
