Academic Achievements

Results Produced by all classes of our department in the academic year (2010-2011)

Intercollegiate Lecture Programme

Intercollegiate Lecture Program was conducted for PG students on behalf of RUSAC by our department on 1st October 2011. Subject experts from various colleges gave their valuable lectures to the students. 130 students and 10 staff members from various colleges were participated in the program.

Out-Campus Achievements

On 23rd August 2011, II B.Sc. and III B.Sc. students of our department were participated in Human chain in Annasalai at Vellore in connection with the International Year of Chemistry-2011 celebrations organized by the PG & Research Dept. of chemistry, Auxilium College, Vellore.

Students of III B.Sc. chemistry of our department were participated in the Intercollegiate Quiz Competition conducted by the P.G. & Research Dept. of Chemistry, Voorhees College, Vellore on January 28th-2011 and won the second prize in the Quiz competition.

P.G. Students of our department were participated in the DEBATE on the topic, “NUCLEAR ENERGY- CONSTRUCTIVE OR DETRUCTIVE”, organized by the P.G. & Research Dept. of Chemistry, Sacred Hearts College, Tirupattur, on Feb 14th-2012 and won third prize in that Debate.

P.G. Students of our department were participated and presented a paper in the Intercollegiate paper presentation, organized by the P.G. & Research Dept. of Chemistry, Muthurangam Govt. arts college, Vellore, on Feb 25th-2012 and won second prize in the paper presentation.
P.G. Students of our department were attended ONE DAY INSTRUMENTATION WORKSHOP at VIT, Vellore on Feb 28th 2012.

State Level Seminars & Conferences

Students of I M.Sc. chemistry were participated and presented a poster in poster presentation in state level conference organized by the department of chemistry, Kamban arts College, Tiruvannamalai.
Students of III B.Sc. were attended the State Level Colloqium on the topic, “CHEMISTRY: OUR LIFE, OUR FUTURE”, organized by the PG & Research Dept. of chemistry, D.K.M.College, Vellore.

Students of II M.Sc. chemistry were attended the State Level Seminar on :EMERGING TRENDS IN CHEMISTRY” , organized by the P.G.& Research Dept. of Chemistry, Muthurangam Govt. arts college, Vellore, on December 3rd-2011.

Industrial Visit

Student of III B.Sc. Chemistry and our department staff members had a one day visit to Orchid Pharma Chemicals Limited, Shozhinganallur on September 17th-2011.

National Service Scheme

UG Students of our Department were attended one week NSS Camp from Feb 2nd to 8th 2012 at parasuramanpatti organized by NSS Coordinator of our college.

National Cadet Corps

UG Students of our department were undergone NCC training for the last 6months in our college campus.

Health Club

ON 18TH August 2011, Health Club of our college was organized a General Health Checkup for female students of our college in the college campus. Dr. Madhavi from Narayani Hospital, Gynecologist, had done the health checkup. Final year female students of our department get benefitted by this program.

Youth Red Cross Activities

III B.Sc. chemistry students had attended the awareness program on the topic “FIRST AID” on 17th August 2011 at our college campus organized by YRC.

III B.Sc. chemistry students had attended the awareness program on the topic “GLOBAL WARMING” on 19th August 2011 at our college campus organized by YRC.

Sports Activities

Miss. A. Vidhya, of I B.Sc Chemistry had won the overall championship in all the sports events conducted by our college on the sports meet.
