State Level Conference
Our Department organised a Conference on 9th Oct 2010 at K.M.G. Auditorium on the topic "HOT TOPICS IN CHEMISTRY". Our respected Principal Dr. D.Gajapathy presided over the conference. Technical session was addressed by Dr.V.Sivakumar, Faculty in chemistry, National Insititue of Technology, Calicut, on the topic "MATERIALS CHEMISTRY- TOWARDS ENERGY APPLICATIONS".
Intercollegiate Lecture Programme
Intercollegiate Lecture Programme was conducted for PG Students on Behalf of RUSAC by our department on 23rd Oct-2010. Subject experts from various colleges gave their valuable lectures to the students. Students and Staffs from various colleges were participated in that Programme.
Students of I Msc Chemistry had participated the one day Seminar on the Topic "SAVE THE EARTH", organized by the department of chemistry, Auxilium, Vellore, on 28th Aug-2010. I Msc Student had won the SECOND PRIZE in the poster presentation.
I Msc Chemistry students had attended the one day Intercollegiate Lecture program on 22nd Jan-2011, organised by the department of chemistry, Abdul Hakeem College, Melvisharam.
Students from from II and III Bsc Chemistry had pariticipate in the Interrcollegiate Quiz Program on 19th Feb-2011, organised by Research department of chemistry, voorhees College, Vellore and won THIRD PRIZE in the Quiz competition.
Other Activities
Students of department had participated in other activities like NSS, YRC, Blood donation, and fine Arts activities and won the prizes with certificates.
Academic Achievements
Our department staff members had produced 100% Results in I M.Sc Chemistry in the Subjects like ORGANIC CHEMISTRY, INORGANIC CHEMISTRY AND PHYSICAL CHEMISTRY in this academic year.
National Conference
Two days National conferecne on "Recent Trends in Chemical and Biological Sciences-CHEM BIO'S CON-2009 was conducted by our department along with the department of Biochemistry and the department of Microbiology on 23rd & 24th Jan-09.
