STATE LEVEL SEMINAR
ON
“STRATEGIES IN ORGANIC SYNTHESIS”
The PG & Research Department of Chemistry organized a State Level Seminar in the topic “STRATEGIES IN ORGANIC SYNTHESIS” on 10thAugust 2017. Dr. D. Gajapathy, Director and Dr. M. Jayasri Rani, Principal of K.M.G. College of Arts & Science, Gudiyattam, inaugurated and presided over the function. Prof. D. Shakila, Head, Department of Chemistry welcomed the gathering. Dr. K. Subramani, Associate Professor of Chemistry, Islamiah College (Autonomous), Vaniyambadi, was the resource person and he delivered a lecture on “Strategies in Organic Synthesis”. As many as 123 students and 7 faculty members from 9 colleges participated in this state level seminar.
In the afternoon session, poster presentation was conducted. 7 posters from 9 colleges were displayed. Prof. P. Chakravarthy, Asst. Prof. of Chemistry, Government Thirumagal Mills College, Gudiyattam, judged the poster presentation.
At the end of the program, Director and Principal distributed the prizes to the winners of poster presentation. Prof. K. Gandhimathi, Assistant Professor of Chemistry proposed a vote of thanks.
