ANNUAL REPORT 2010-2011

• The Biochemistry association Organized Special Speech On Job opportunities in clinical Research by Mr.P.Anandapadmanabhan, Managing Director, Consortium, Clinical Research Pvt, Ltd,Coimbatore On 17th August 2010.
• The biochemistry Department Organised a National Seminar On Recent Trends in Biosciences on 15th October 2010. Students from 17 Colleges of various branches of life sciences such as Microbiology, Boichemistry, Genetics, Zoology & Biotechnology have presentations in paper & poster presentations & Won the prizes. Various speaker Dr.Ameer Kalander Associate professors in Medical Biochemistry, Haramaya University, Ethiopia & Dr.B.Karthikaya prabu, Scientists, CLRI, Chennai, have delivered Speech on advanced research topics.
• Our PG Students Participated & present a paper in the International Seminar Organised by Adhiparasakthi college, Kalavai On 4th Jan 2011. And Students also particvipated National & State level conference conducted by Department of Biochemistry in Alpha college of Arts & Science, Chennai & Muthyammal college, Rasipuram, to establish themselves & Also PG Students Participated in State level Seminar in Sacred Heart college Tirupattur on Sep 16th 2010.
• M.Phil Research students have produced 100% result in their University exam, March 2010. The PG Students have produced 100% result.In UG Level, III Semester Exam Nov2010, the staff member Dr. R. Babujanarthanam, R..Maheswari, T.Vijay, S.Karthigai devi, J.Thirumagal, K.Saritha, P.Kavitha & G.Raguvarman have produced 100% Result in thire respective papers.
• C.Chozan of I PG Biochemistry, participated & Won I place in solo dance performance conducted by marudhar Kesari Jain College, Vaniyambadi, & also C.Chozen, Vasenth, Kumar & Ruban Won the Overall Championship & Made proud to the department, on 22/1/2011.
• Our Pg Students had Industrial visit, at Tamil Nadu Agriculture, University, Paiyur, Dharmapuri,on 14th Feb 2011.
• Our college YRC & Biochemistry department jointhy conducted blood group identification.
