On behalf of the English Literary Association, the P.G. Department of English has conducted various competitions such as Elocution, Poetry Explanation. Pencil Sketch, Story Writing on given concepts, Calligraphy and Tongue Twisters. Many students participated in the different events and prizes were awarded to the winners.
A special meeting was organized by the English Literary Association on 12.02.2015. Dr. Peruvalluthi, HOD, Department of English, Thiruvalluvar University, Vellore, was the Chief Guest. He delivered an inspiring speech on “How to improve our communication skills”. He also motivated the students to improve their skills in communication and Linguistics.
Our students actively participated in various Inter college events organized at Marudhar Kesari Jain College, Vaniyambadi &won the prizes in group dance. Even in GTM College, Gudiyattam our students expose their talents &won the prizes in various events like Calligraphy, and Poetry explanation. In M.M.E.S, Melvisharam our students participated in Skit, Mime, Speech and won the overall championship also.

In the academic year of 2011-2014 we have produced 70% result in University examination.
