Annual Report for the Academic Year 2012-13
To make our students to know about the current trends in the IT field, the department organized an Intradepartmental activity Programme on 27.2.2013 and various events such as paper presentation, marketing were conducted. The students of BCA, B.Sc., Computer Science and M.Sc.,(IT) courses participated and won prizes.
The department has conducted various courses for the non-computer students of our college through Computer Literacy Programme and many of our college students joined these courses and were benefited.
The department motivates the staff and students by allowing them to participate in the various programs organized by ICT Academy, Chennai. We got institutional membership in ICT.
An Environmental trip was arranged for the first year students and the students visited the place Morthana Dam.

Academic Achievements
In this academic year, Miss.L.Anitha of B.Sc. Computer Science has secured the first rank in the University examinations and won Gold Medal. She was felicitated by the Governor of Tamilnadu His Excellency Shri. Surjit Singh Barnala for this achievement.
The PG Department of Computer Science and Applications cope up all this radical changes by conducting Inter-Collegiate IT-MEET and Intra-Departmental activities every year. This year the Inter-Collegiate IT-Meet iBlaze’2010 was conducted on 16th September 2010, our honorable Managing Trustee, Shri.K.M.G Balasubramanian, inaugurated the function. About 27 colleges participated in this IT Mega Meet. This IT-Meet acted as a platform for the UG and PG students to interact, learn, exhibit and compete in the events of academic and general interests.
The university results during the academic year 2009-10 are as follows :

- BCA – 89%
- M.Sc. – 100%
Our department has conducted various Intra-departmental activities on 28.07.10. The events such as Paper Fest, Advertier, and Brain wave were conducted through this programme. Also the department students participated in the various events conducted by other colleges and won prizes in it.
